Most of the rural and tribal families are steeped in cultural myths and misconceptions and therefore ignorant. The children in their families are usually the first generation learners. At the same time women are subjected to domestic and gender violence. This is also a serious issue and needs to be addressed alongside other social issues. Though the process has started it takes time and has to be further strengthened for sustainability and independence of the federation. Village youth and cadres have to be trained to efficiently articulate their concerns and needs to lobby with the local panchayat and state governments.
